The overarching objective of this action is to support TVET in the occupational field of industrial mechanic by ensuing it is better aligned with labour-market needs.
This component improved labour-market relevance of TVET in the occupational field of industrial mechanic, aim is to align TVET more closely with labour-market needs in the occupational field of industrial mechanics. Industrial mechanics can be deployed over a broad range of activities in the industrial processing of agricultural produce and the upstream production of building materials.
Within the scope of SKYE, this component will provide skilled personnel with vocational training to enable them to operate, repair and service industrial plants and machinery. By aligning TVET for industrial mechanics with the dual training system in Germany, this component will also seek to have ‘industrial mechanic’ formally adopted as an occupational profile in the Nigerian TVET system.
