Strengthening Job-Oriented TVET

Through information and communication technology (ICT) assisted information channels this action aims to improve the institutional capacities for job-oriented TVET.

This support to improve the institutional capacities for job oriented TVET is directed at improving the conditions for a TVET system that is relevant to the labour market, with the focus on advice and support for sector skills councils. One major area of intervention is in public-private policy dialogue and the support to support to sector skills councils on setting up national qualification standards, which will thereby increase the transparency, permeability and labour-market relevance of TVET in Nigeria.

This component also focuses on reaching young girls and women through ICT-assisted communication channels to create the awareness motivate them to obtain a vocational qualification and chances of finding skilled employment in the selected sectors.
