The National Conference on Employment Promotion is an initiative of the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment supported by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and projects contributing to the “Returning to New Opportunities” programme implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Nigeria which are the Skills Development for Youth Employment – SKYE, Pro-Poor Growth and Promotion of Employment in Nigeria – SEDIN, and the Programme Migration for Development (PME).

The conference provides a platform for exchange, cooperation, and coordination across different levels, including sub-national level. It brings together relevant stakeholders in the field of development, employment, labour market and migration to generate practical insights, strategies, and best practices for employment promotion in the post-COVID-19 era in Nigeria.
